The makers of Dairy Doo (Morgan Composting Inc.) will be here this Saturday, May 19, 2018 offering courses in Sustainable Lawn Care – and our second year of Straw Bale Gardening.
Between classes you can speak with Botanical Interests Seed Packets from 10am-2pm about picking the best seeds for your garden. These seeds are Non GMO and Organic, but most importantly they have a high germination rate, a great seed count in every packet, and grow healthier plants.
10 am Straw Bale Gardening:
“Straw Bale Gardening allows anyone, even those with the worst soil conditions, to grow a terrific garden that is productive and much less labor intensive. For anyone with difficulties bending over or doing the heavy work that is usually involved in turning the soil and digging to plant and harvest crops, the raised height of the Straw Bale Garden makes those chores obsolete. Minimal maintenance resulting in maximum production, through Straw Bale Gardening. It will completely change everything you thought you already knew about gardening.” – Joel Karsten
1 pm Sustainable Lawn Maintenance:
We have had a pretty eye opening year in Rockford when it comes to ground contamination. There are many people in our community that are looking to change their habits when it comes to organic and sustainability. However, we still want our lawns to look like it has with the chemical additives we had been using. There are options. You can change your lawn feeding habits and still have your neighbors giving you the “I wish I could get my lawn to look like that” comments.
Come in for a FREE opportunity to learn. If you are an organics beginner, experienced gardener, or just humoring the idea of changing your habits this is a great opportunity.
